Ski Touring in Iceland – an Adventure Around the Troll Peninsula
April
Iceland – a ski adventure from a another planet. Breathtaking views, skiing right to the sea and feeling of pristine wilderness
Ski touring in Iceland is real adventure close to the nature. Being away from civilization we are going to enjoy the unique volcanic landscape with breathtaking views skiing down right to the sea shores. Our trailheads often start directly from coastal roads or from small side valleys if infrastructure allows that. Most of the peaks are about 1000 meters asl which gives opportunities for more than one ascent for a day.
Our basecamp for this program will be a typical Iceland house on the seaside nearby the village of Akureyri. You may have a complete relax having a cold bear, white wine or cappuccino on its sunny terrace and the blue see as a background. The house has an equipped kitchen which we may use. Our idea is to buy some food from local markets and to prepare it alone. We will split all food expenses between us. Of course, we may also have a dinner in some of the restaurants on our way back from skiing. This will make us flexible and will give us freedom to modify our program depending on our desires.
This program is suitable for people experienced in ski touring and off-piste skiing and ready for adventure.
Note: We keep the rights to change the program in case of force majeure circumstances.
* The price is per person with a minimum of 5 registered.
* Reservation should be no later than 30 days before the program. Reservation is considered confirmed if payment is processed within 3 days after booking.

What Our Guests Say
Iceland
Our guides, Stan and Dimitar, were simply excellent. We were a group of 5. They blended in as if they were long lost friends, listened to us, guided us and tour care of us. I would love to ski tour with them again. G and J
Thank the snow gods, then thank Stan
The snow gods were kind this weekend — that's on them, not me. But Stan and the Basecamp Tours crew being absolutely dialled in? That's every single time, no asterisk. Smart route choices, safety that never feels paranoid, and feedback that actually makes you better. The snow is a gamble. Basecamp Tours is not.
