Kazakh pukhlyak – ski touring in Altai

    DECEMBER

Winter at these latitudes comes early – the first snow covers the ground as early as October or early November – that’s because Siberia is so close. And the “pukhlyak”, as the locals call the fluffy snow, sits light and airy for a long time on the slopes of the Altai Mountains. For these reasons, we chose to open the ski touring season earlier than usual with an incredible adventure in Central Asia in DECEMBER.

Note: We reserve the right to make changes in the program depending on weather/snow conditions. Clients safety is our upmost priority.

    * Minimum number of participants – 5, maximum – 6. Price is valid for group of 6. Supplement for 5 people – 300 EUR/per person.

    What Our Guests Say

    ★★★★★
Thank the snow gods, then thank Stan

The snow gods were kind this weekend — that's on them, not me. But Stan and the Basecamp Tours crew being absolutely dialled in? That's every single time, no asterisk. Smart route choices, safety that never feels paranoid, and feedback that actually makes you better. The snow is a gamble. Basecamp Tours is not.
