Season 25/26 for Basecamp Tours was filled with unforgettable experiences, thousands of kilometres, countless smiling faces, and dreams turned into reality! Winter began in December and ended in May, when the last group returned from the far North. Ski and snowshoe journeys to Lapland, Japan, Norway, Iceland, Svalbard; ski training camps in Rila, Pirin, Vitosha…
A few numbers to sum up ski season 25/26:
- 60+ participants in our programmes from 9 nationalities
- 12 destinations visited, with Iceland being the most popular — hosting 3 consecutive groups
- 90,000+ kilometres travelled by plane, boat, car, train, and on foot by our guides to get our clients to these destinations — that’s two full circumnavigations of the globe. For one guide alone — Ivo Stoilkov — the distance covered was close to 50,000 km
- And we’re not even counting the kilometres covered on skis, ski touring skins, and snowshoes!
